The name of this pattern made me laugh — it’s called Pardon a Turkey by Amy Marie and this is one feathered beast that is not going to get eaten this holiday season.
The design is worked with mosaic Garter Stitch knitting, which uses slipped stitches to create the pattern. It’s easy and fun and this little project is a great introduction if you’ve never done it before.
It uses worsted weight yarn in two colors and you need a high contrast between them in order to be able to see the design. Worked in cotton it’s a great washcloth for all those holiday dishes, or you can use it to line a basket or in place of a trivet on the holiday table.
